When on Monday 20th January 2020 Sam Mbah went in to bat as the number four batsman at the picturesque Kimberley Cricket Oval, South Africa for Nigeria Under-19 team against Australia Under-19 team history was made.
The occasion was the ICC Under-19 Cricket world Cup. Sam Chukwuemeka Mbah joins an elite band of cricketers in Nigeria.
They are the first Nigerian Cricketers to play in a world cup. Sam becomes the first Ogssian and Easterner to play for Nigeria at a World Cup!
