It has become a tradition to celebrate a passage of the time called one year which is 365 days. Rightly or wrongly, the passage of a year has been turned into a memorial, benchmark, rod of measure and a reference point. We may also celebrate ‘one year’ in relation to our perceived successes in line with stated objectives within a particular contest. For us in the Renaissance our anniversary @ one is a time of reflection, re-evaluation and stock-taking. It is time for our Re-loading and Re-launching.
We are moving nicely along the path of threading new frontiers and crossing boundaries. Ours is still a gentle joy a long a winding and thorny path. The path may lead across canyons, gorges, crevices, thickets, ravines, quicksand etc and it needs gentle navigating on a trot. We are building momentum as the walk moves to a more familiar terrain.
Using a parlance that is associated with the game of cricket, we are about to start our second innings. We debuted on the 20th of June 2020 in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic which in itself is a major milestone. The Renaissance has defied the odds to enter a ‘crowded’ field in such an auspicious time. The Renaissance has held her own with its own unique grace and delicacy. She has a unique appeal for thousands of eager subscribers and the globe. The uniqueness is borne and sustained by a team of vibrant writers with articles spread across a variety of themes. The sections profiles, Sports, Books, Law, Culture, Poems, Tit-bits, Health, Features, Youths, Teachers are all consistently served with a bouquet of spices and rich Ingredients. Our Ogssian Life section brings reminiscences and helps the old boys of Government Secondary Schools, Owerri Imo State, Nigeria to connect to their roots.
The Renaissance appeals to the global Audiences/Readership because of the international flavour embedded in our articles and writings. Our regular contributors are based abroad and most if not all contributors are Colleges/University graduates in various field. Welcome to a new day. We have reloaded and have re-launched.
We are also moving nicely along.
