The Supreme Knight of The Order of The Knights of Saint Mulumba Nigeria, (KSM), Sir Steve Adehi, SAN, CKSM KCSS, has called on members of the Order to use the opportunity offered by the Easter season to “renew with firm resolve the noble ideals of sacrifice and charity,” which Easter symbolizes.
In his Easter message to Knights and Ladies of St Mulumba, Sir Adehi, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, called on members of the Order to use the Easter period to renew their sacrifices,enhance their commitment to the poor, to defend the truth the less privileged and to sacrifice their time and comfort in the fulfillment of God’s kingdom by their goodwill to fellow Nigerians.
Calling for concerted efforts to address human suffering, the Supreme Knight charged Knights and Ladies to extend their goodwill beyond their immediate families and close circles and reach out to all Nigerians of goodwill irrespective of the differences in creed and religion.
As Easter people, Sir Adehi said, Knights and Ladies are called to bear true witnesses to Christ’s resurrection in our families, in our workplaces and parishes by demonstrating integrity and living out the true values of the ideals of the resurrection. He called on members to always defend the poor and the marginalized of the society while also contributing to politics and culture worthy of the values of the resurrection.
He reminded members of KSM, the ultimate value of the resurrection, which is at the core of their Christian faith. According to the Supreme Knight, “the resurrection, therefore, stands as the eternal triumph of light over darkness, life over death, and hope over despair,” adding that “for us as knights and Ladies of St Mulumba, Easter remains the supreme affirmation that sacrifice offered in fidelity to Christ is never in vain; and that the narrow path of faith, leads ultimately to victory and glory.”
While wishing members the joy that Easter brings, Sir Adehi prayed that the sacrifices of the Lenten season through to the Holy week will not be in vain but will ultimately lead members to eternal glory.
