When on Monday 20th January 2020 Sam Mbah went in to bat as the number four batsman at the picturesque Kimberley Cricket Oval,South Africa for Nigeria Under-19 team against Australia Under-19 team history was made. The occasion was the ICC Under-19 Cricket world Cup. Sam Chukwuemeka Mbah joins an elite band of cricketers in Nigeria.They are the first Nigerian Cricketers to play in a world cup. Sam becomes the first Ogssian and Easterner to play for Nigeria at a World Cup!

What’s the colour of your voice?

As a Recruitment practitioner, I always conduct (and recommend) telephone interviews first, after resumés have been sieved through, before the initial face-to-face interview.

This is because, for me, the quality, cadence and ‘professionalism’ of the voice goes a long way to ascertain if candidate A will be invited over candidate Q. I look for the punch, the verve, the right dose of ‘aggression’, that voice-quality that tells me that this prospective employee knows what s/he wants.
