In times like this: By Kamsi Ikekpeazu

In times like this
Five feet apart,
Quarantined at home
Face masks getting scarce
Chaos consumes the society, attacks on the innocent, robbery increasing at a high rate.
Being fully aware of our common enemy, no other choice than to consolidate to combat it as a whole.
For as the saying goes “Together we stand, divided we fall”

In times like this
Death rate increasing at a conspicuously surprising rate
More than a thousand lives lost yet questions remain unanswered. A time to draw all loved ones close and our enemies closer, for this is not an attack on our nation but worldwide.  In a way, we are all connected,  everything and everyone is affected in ways we can’t imagine. Whereas we can’t touch people physically, we can touch them with our words and heart, the world needs your love.

In times like this
Each and everyone of us has a role to play to curb the spread of thus deadly attack. Our current situation only making us aware of how much we need each other. For the ones lost, those who left families behind, a thousand years can’t change the past.
“…it came first a business” they say “and when it’s done it’ll leave” so far, where had such statements gotten us? It all started as a joke but to what extent would it continue to be a joke???

In times like this
Various religions everywhere with their false prophesies; using this to take advantage of the ignorant ones, whereas no one knows what to believe any longer.
I believe that the death caused by the pandemic is nothing compared to that of the ones caused by the ignorance….
Be a brother’s keeper, keep others informed
Be safe, stay quarantined,
For the fear of this pandemic is the beginning of wisdom.
