THEY CAME,
ENTERING UNINVITED,
YET WELCOMED.
THEY CAME,
KNOCKING ON DOORS,
DOORS THAT GLADLY OPENED TO THEM.
WITH IGNORANCE,
WE SHOWED THEM ALL,
ALL, AND AND THERE CAME THE FALL.
WE SHOWED ALL
AND THEY SHOWED US THE CROSS.
WE SURRENDERED TO THE CROSS
AND THERE CAME THE LOSS.
WEEMBRACED THE CROSS,
AND CLEARLY IT TURNED A SWORD,
READY TO TEAR OUR NECKS
IF WE DON’T GIVE IN TO THE WORD
AND WE DID .
THEY WERE SUPERIOR WE THOUGHT,
THEY KNEW THEY WERE NOT.
THE COLOURS DECIEVED
YET WE BELIEVED.
THEY SAID WE SHOULD BE BELIEVERS, SO WE BELIEVED.
OUR RAPE THEY CAME TO ACHIEVE.
ALL OF IT WERE LIKE DRUGGING
THEY PLANNED ALL THE DRAGGING.
THEY LEFT US AWAKE AND SLEEPING,
IT TASTED NICE, WE KEPT SIPPING.
SOME OF US SAW THIS AND SCREAMED.
THE DRUNK ONES SCREAMED BACK AT THEM.
THEY RMOVED THEIR WEARS
AND THERE CAME THE REVELATION
BUT WE WERE TOO WEAK TO SEE.
THE POWER TO RECOGNIZE WE LOST
THEN THEY DID IT
THEY RAPED US; OUR FREEDOM AND CHOICE
THEY RAPED US AND WE WERE PREGNANT
AND GAVE BIRTH TO OUR BONDAGE AND CHOICELESSNESS.
WE LOST THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE;
BEGGARS.
WE ARE BOUND IN FREEDOM.
IT ALL STARTED WHEN
THEY CAME.
THEY RAPED US, OUR FREEDOM AND CHOICE.
